Choir Groups

Elementary Choir: Grace Notes 1 & 2

Mrs. Ruegsegger and Mrs. Chase teach these groups, focusing on age-appropriate music instruction and providing your child with an enriching musical experience with the goal of developing life-long music lovers!

Grace Notes is divided into two groups.
*Grace Notes Level One (ages 5-7 by September 1) meets 10:30-11:10am on Tuesdays, September through May
*Grace Notes Level Two (age 8 through 5th grade) meets 11:15am-12:00pm on Tuesday, September through May

Location: Auburn Church of the Nazarene

Tuition: Cost is $15 per semester per family.

Middle School Choir

Homeschooled students in grades 6-8

Day/Time: 10:30-11:30am on Tuesdays, September through May
Location: New Hope Christian Center

Tuition: 
When you sign up for choir, you are registering and agreeing to pay for the full year.
Payment is by the semester. Each semester is $50.00, payable by the first rehearsal of each semester.  Tuition amount does not include items needed for performance dress.

High School Choir

Homeschooled students in grades 9-12

Day/Time: 1-3pm on Tuesdays
Location: New Hope Christian Center

DeKalb Community Orchestra Information

The DeKalb County Community Orchestra is free for any stringed instrument player in the region. All experience levels are welcome. There are beginning, intermediate, and advanced orchtras. Must provide your own instrument.

Kim’s Korner Music Store has student instruments for sale. Additionally, she has instructors available for most instruments., and helps lead the DeKalb Community Orchestra, which students are encouraged to join. 

Fort Wayne Philharmonic Instrument Loan Program:  Every student should have the opportunity to play an instrument of their choosing.  Over 100 string, bass, and woodwind instruments are available on a first come, first serve basis for musicians at any level.
